CEC's Early History!

Chuck E. Cheese's was founded in 1977 by Atari co-founder Nolan Bushnell, in 1984, CEC Pizza Time Theatre Inc. filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy as a result of the Video Game Crash of 1983! They were bought out by Showbiz Pizza. In 1989-1992, all Showbiz stores were rebranded into Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza!
